Habitat for Humanity International  [Richmond | Hanover | Tri-Cities]
Habitat for Humanity International is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry. Habitat is a non-profit organization dedicated to building simple, affordable houses in partnership with low-income families. Homeowners are selected through a process based on the need for adequate shelter, the ability to repay the no-interest loan and willingness to participate in Habitat for Humanity International's partnership program. Habitat seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need.

There are many Habitat affiliates in Virginia, including Richmond, Hanover and Tri-Cities.
